2022 REDD ROOF INN DOLPHIN TOURNAMENT results

Our Committee is pleased to report a very successful 2022 tournament. Not knowing what to expect, but prepared for anything, the number of participants and sponsorships far exceeded our expectations. A big thank you to the 36 boats that entered along with 49 sponsors who supported our cause. We could not have done it without you! If it has been said once, it has been said a thousand times, we could not have done any of this without our sponsors. 100% of the funding and contributions from our sponsorships went directly to the South Carolina Memorial Reef in memory of Captain David Redd. Business owners both large and small banded together for their love of fishing, David Redd, and the efforts to broaden our coastal ecosystem to support fishing tomorrow. Thanks to your generous contributions we were able to achieve our goal of $60,000.00! 

Although the weather was a bit bumpy and the smaller boats were on pins and needles, they braved the elements and got a fish day in. At the end of the day it seemed to be worth it because of the obvious success on the leaderboard. 

Congratulations to all of our winners! One of the key improvements this year was the REAL TIME LEADERBOARD. Having 4 different weigh-in locations can make it tough to know where you stand in a tournament. Oftentimes in years past, not knowing what was on the board was actually a deterrent from entering or knowing if it would be worth the trip to the scales. 

We listened to the input from the captains and fishermen and made changes that will hopefully keep teams returning in years to come. We are pleased to have received lots of great feedback and appreciation for keeping everyone up to date.
